I agree to do business electronically with Greenstein Property Tax, LLC, which I know as Austin Tea Party. Section 322.007 of the Texas Business and Commerce Code gives an electronic record and an electronic signature the same effect as paper and ink, and Section 322.005(b) applies that chapter only to a transaction between parties who have each agreed to conduct it electronically. This is my agreement, and it covers my account, the services agreement, the Comptroller agent designation, every notice and invoice sent to me, and every consent I give. To do business this way I need a device with a current web browser, an internet connection, an email address I check, and the ability to open and save PDF files. If my email address changes I will update it in my account. I may ask for a paper copy of any record at any time, and the first copy of any record is free. I may withdraw this agreement at any time by the same routes. Withdrawal applies going forward: it does not undo a signature I have already given, and it may mean they cannot continue to serve me, because the filings run on electronic records. They will tell me before closing my account. When I sign a document here they record my signature, the date and time, the version of the document I saw, and the exact language displayed to me, and they keep that record for at least five (5) years. Section 1.111(k) of the Tax Code lets a chief appraiser ask for the signature and the date signed on a designation submitted electronically, which is why that record is kept.
Agent designation

I appoint Greenstein Property Tax, LLC, which I know as Austin Tea Party, as my agent for property tax matters on the property shown above, on Comptroller Form 50-162 under Section 1.111 of the Texas Tax Code. This authorizes them to receive my notice of appraised value and other district correspondence, to file and pursue a protest, and to appear for me at the informal conference and the appraisal review board hearing on the accounts I designate. I understand that this designation remains in effect until it is revoked in a written revocation filed with the appraisal district by me or by them, and that leaving the expiration date blank means it continues indefinitely rather than renewing or lapsing each year. I understand that Section 1.111(d) bars me from designating more than one agent for a property, so signing this revokes any agent I already have on this account. I may revoke it at any time, for any reason, with no notice period and no fee.
Under-contract engagement

I engage Greenstein Property Tax, LLC, which I know as Austin Tea Party to prepare my property tax paperwork now and to present it to me for signature after I close. This is a private engagement between us. It is not the Declaration and it appoints no agent with the appraisal district. They will not sign for me, apply my signature, or file anything with the county until I personally sign after I own the property.
Homestead filing

I authorize Greenstein Property Tax, LLC, which I know as Austin Tea Party to prepare and file my residence homestead exemption application on Comptroller Form 50-114, and to respond on my behalf to the appraisal district's periodic requests to re-verify my eligibility for that exemption. This filing is free: there is no fee for it, no minimum, and no charge if the exemption is denied. I understand that Section 11.43 of the Tax Code requires the application to carry my name and my driver license number, personal identification certificate number or social security account number, and a copy of that license or certificate, and that they collect it only for this filing, store it encrypted, never sell it, never use it for marketing, and destroy it when the business purpose ends.
Sensitive-data processing

I consent to Greenstein Property Tax, LLC, which I know as Austin Tea Party, processing proof of my disability or service-connected disability rating only to file the disabled person or disabled veteran exemption I asked for. I understand that the document reveals a mental or physical health diagnosis and is sensitive data. Austin Tea Party will use it only to file the exemption, will not sell it, and will delete it once the exemption is granted or denied and any appeal period has run. I may withdraw this consent at any time.

Greenstein Property Tax, LLC, which I know as Austin Tea Party will review my property value each year and file a protest in any year it judges one is likely to succeed. If a protest produces Tax Savings, I pay forty percent (40%) of the Tax Savings obtained for that tax year. Tax Savings is measured in tax dollars, not in appraised value. I understand that a reduction in value does not always produce a saving, because Section 23.23 of the Tax Code caps the appraised value of a qualified residence homestead, and that in a year where the Tax Savings is zero the fee is zero. There is no sign-up fee, no minimum fee, no hourly charge, no annual fee, no payment card at sign-up, and no charge for the homestead exemption filing. This is not a one-time charge: a fee comes due in each tax year in which the work produces Tax Savings, and I may cancel at any time. I understand this engagement covers filing my protest, presenting my evidence at the informal conference, and appearing at my appraisal review board hearing, and that it does not cover binding arbitration under Chapter 41A, a suit for judicial review under Chapter 42, or any appeal of a district court judgment.

I authorize Greenstein Property Tax, LLC, which I know as Austin Tea Party, to share my inspection report and the address of my property with Arkana Intelligence LLC, which runs the Inspector Ally platform, and with the repair and home service companies Arkana uses, so that they can price the work my report identifies and Austin Tea Party can use that pricing as evidence in my property tax protest. I understand that my name and contact details go to a repair company only as far as preparing an estimate requires; that a company may email me about its estimate, and that no company may call me or text me unless I give that company permission myself; that Arkana may be paid by a company I hire, and that the payment does not increase what the company charges me; that I pay nothing for the pricing and I am not obliged to have any work done; that Arkana may show me my report and the pricing in the home services application it is building; and that nobody sends my report to an insurance company. Austin Tea Party will not use my information for anything this authorization does not describe without asking me first. I can withdraw this authorization at any time in my account, and it will be acted on within ten (10) business days. My homestead exemption and my protest go ahead either way.

I agree that Greenstein Property Tax, LLC, which I know as Austin Tea Party may contact me by email about my account, my filings, my hearing dates, my invoices, my homestead exemption and the deadlines that affect them. These are service messages about the work I have asked for, not marketing, and I understand they continue while my account is open. Marketing contact is a separate choice I have not been asked for here, and refusing it would not change my price or my service.

Choosing "Yes" is my electronic signature on this consent. I may withdraw this consent at any time by any reasonable means: reply STOP, QUIT, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE or OPT OUT to any text, email stop@atxteaparty.com, call 984-365-2235, or change it in my account.
